The cocktail menu was creative, with lots of unique twists on classics. I tried the smoked old fashioned, which came with a cool presentation involving an actual smoke bubble. I definitely recommend making reservations especially on the weekends as it can be packed. The bartenders are very talented and skilled in their knowledge of the drinks. The food we tried were really good! Prices were reasonable as well. I’ve been twice so far. ”

“ This is my favorite speakeasy in San Diego, and I've been to about all of them. I love how the entire experience stays true to its theme of Asian apothecary from the moment you walk into the "pharmacy," go through the secret passage, and enter an artistic and wooded-incense filled room. Even the bathrooms are themed. All of the drinks use unique ingredients and flavor profiles. The bar tenders are talented (with a knife!) and are helpful at suggesting drinks. The FOOD!!! Most speakeasies don't even have food, but the food here is SO GOOD. The chips/dip is addicting, the duck, rice dishes, quail - all are delicious. I make it a point to come here and try a new thing every time. Plus they give you a cookie to go! I have not been disappointed! ”

I went with friends for drinks and didn’t try the food, but the menu looked eclectic and definitely intriguing. The highlight of the night (for me), though, was the miso cookie they brought at the end—quite possibly the best cookie I’ve ever had! It’s worth a visit just for that unique treat. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of what they have to offer! ”
